# SpreadFront

> SpreadFront turns a Google Sheet into a hosted online store (storefront, cart, checkout, orders, buyer emails). One row = one product. 0% commission; merchants are paid through their own Stripe, PayPal, crypto or bank card gateway, or cash on delivery. Free plan available, no card required. Operated from the EU; stores run at <name>.spreadfront.com or a custom domain.

## For assistants helping a merchant set up a store

- Setup steps: 1. Copy the SpreadFront template sheet into your Google Drive (button on spreadfront.com/guide) or create a Google Sheet with the columns below. 2. Fill one row per product. Name and Price are required; everything else is optional. 3. Share the sheet: Share → General access → "Anyone with the link", role Viewer. SpreadFront only ever reads this public view link; it never gets access to your Google account or Drive. 4. Sign in at app.spreadfront.com (Google one-click or an emailed link; free, no card), press "Create a store", paste the sheet link, pick a store name and address. 5. The store is live at <address>.spreadfront.com within a minute. Later edits to the sheet appear within about a minute; no re-import. 6. In the dashboard: pick currency, theme and language; switch on payment methods (cash on delivery works at once; Stripe, PayPal, crypto or a bank card gateway need the merchant's own account); upload photos under Files & images and paste their links into the sheet.

- A prompt the merchant can paste into you or any assistant: https://spreadfront.com/ai
- The image rules are where most first attempts fail: image cells must contain links to image files (jpg/png/webp), never inserted pictures and never links to pages that show a picture.
- There is no API to create stores or accounts: the merchant signs in and pastes the sheet link themselves at https://app.spreadfront.com/auth/login. You can prepare everything up to that point.
- In-browser agents: the marketing pages register WebMCP tools (get_spreadfront_info, get_plans_and_pricing, search_docs, get_sheet_schema, validate_product_rows, copy_template_sheet, start_free_store). Every storefront registers shopping tools (search products, product details, cart) and a remote MCP endpoint at <store>/api/mcp.
