FAQ
How can I open an online store for free?
Copy our Google Sheet template and type in your products, set the sheet to "anyone with the link can view", and paste its link into your SpreadFront dashboard. You get a working store at yourname.spreadfront.com - hosting, cart, checkout, order dashboard and push notifications included, and we take no commission on sales. The free plan is free, forever - no card details, no time limit. But keep in mind it is limited: 1 store, 100 products, 100 orders a month, no custom domain and no automatic order emails - you contact buyers yourself (one click on a buyer's address opens a pre-filled email draft). That does the job for getting started and for small catalogues. When you outgrow it, Pro is one flat price a year, plus your payment provider's own fee, nothing else.
Does SpreadFront sell any products itself?
No. SpreadFront is B2B software (SaaS), a simplified alternative to Shopify: the only thing we sell is the software subscription, which is entirely digital. The physical goods you may see in stores on this platform belong to the merchants who run those stores - SpreadFront never owns, stocks, ships or bills for them, and buyer payments go directly to the merchant, never through us.
Do you get access to my Google account?
No. Your product sheet just needs to be viewable by "anyone with the link". We never request Google OAuth scopes for your files: sign-in only proves your email.
How do I get paid?
Choose cash on delivery, add per-product payment links in your sheet (Stripe Payment Link, PayPal.me), or connect your own Stripe account for card checkout on paid plans. We take 0% of your sales.
I already have a store.link sheet, will it work?
Yes. SpreadFront understands store.link's column names out of the box. Paste the same sheet and you're live.
What happens when I outgrow the free plan?
Nothing breaks: new orders above the monthly limit are politely declined until the month rolls over or you upgrade. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial, with a 14-day no-questions refund after billing starts.
