Does Etsy charge a listing fee?

Yes. Each listing costs USD 0.20 when published and again every four months on renewal, whether or not it sells.

What is the Etsy Offsite Ads fee?

When a sale is attributed to an Etsy advert placed on Google, Facebook or similar sites, Etsy charges 15% of that order, or 12% for sellers who made more than USD 10,000 in the previous 365 days.

Can I opt out of Offsite Ads on Etsy?

Only if your Etsy sales in the previous 365 days were under USD 10,000. Above that, participation is mandatory for the life of the shop.

Is it cheaper to sell on my own website than on Etsy?

It depends on volume and on where your buyers come from. Your own store replaces Etsy's percentage fees with a flat plan price plus card-processing fees, but it does not bring you Etsy's marketplace traffic.
